The minitrack on Parallel and Distributed Simulation serves as forum for simulationists from industry, Government and academia, for presenting recent research results in Parallel and Distributed (discrete-event) Simulation, and Distributed Interactive Simulation. Authors are invited to submit both theoretical and practical results of significance.

The scope of the minitrack includes, but are not limited to:

Authors are invited to submit papers to: Submit a 300-word abstract by April 1. Feedback on the appropriateness of the abstract will be sent by April 15, 1998. Submit eight (8) copies of the full manuscript by June 1, 1998. Manuscripts should have an abstract and be 22-25 typewritten, double-spaced pages in length. Email submissions (text format for abstract and postscript format for the full manuscript) are welcome. Papers must not have been previously presented or published, nor currently submitted for journal publication.

Authors of accepted papers will be invited to work out a follow-on manuscript that will undergo another thorough review for possible publication as a special journal issue. Arrangements are being made to publish this intended collection in the Transactions of The Society for Computer Simulation.
